A dish of Porridge

When I saw Lukewarm appear on the suggested Daily Post list, my immediate thought went to a character in the 1970s sitcom ‘Porridge’.

Set in the prison HM Slade, Porridge was comedy from a gentler era. Where timing and whit ruled the day, not bad language or violence. Set around its star character, Norman Stanley Fletcher, played by Ronnie Barker, and his younger sidekick Lenny Godber, played by Richard Beckinsale, the show provided family viewing over several series, Christmas special and film spin-offs.

In the clip below, Lukewarm helps cause a distraction so Godber can steal a tin of pineapple chunks to cheer up Fletcher.
